About us
Three companies. One family. Since 1968.
We are not a conglomerate. Three companies, one family behind them, each doing one thing well — and all of it made in Lucknow.
- Since 1968
Tool & Gage
Where it began: a precision tool room, founded by Ravindra Jain to produce locally what India was importing. Today — rubber and rubber-to-metal bonded products, oil seals, NVH components, insulation cleats, EMD and ALCO locomotive spares, and precision CNC tooling.
- The polymer company
Durable Polymers
Born from a fire on the railways and the search for safer materials. EN 45545 HL3 compliant PU foams, flame-retardant silicone foam, thermally bonded non-woven, and complete railway seats and berths — including the Vande Bharat sleeper berth.
- Since 2021
EzSleep
The same foam formulations and process discipline, brought home. Mattresses, pillows, headrests, memory foam and orthopaedic products — built for the person who expects more from the things they use every day.

Our journey
Fifty-seven years, one problem at a time
- 1968
A tool room opens in Lucknow
Founded as a precision tool room in 30,000 sq ft, establishing the group’s roots in engineering excellence. First product: the oil seals India was importing.

- 1970
Import substitution
The first range of rubber dust covers for Kirloskar engines — one of India’s earliest successful import substitutions.

- 1980
Three wheelers
Oil seal innovation for Scooter India and the three-wheeler market, capturing over 80% share of India’s diesel engine segment.
- 1982
Indian Railways
Entry into Indian Railways, manufacturing rubber and rubber-to-metal bonded products.

- 2007
A new era
Development of high-voltage composite insulators — the third company in India to master the technology, replacing traditional ceramic.

- 2014
Approved for EMD
Indigenous development for Indian Railways, and formal approval for EMD locomotive sealing and gasketing components.

- 2018
Unit 2 opens
A manufacturing powerhouse of over 200,000 sq ft, with a fabrication division for railway seats and berths.

- 2022
Silicone foam
Flame-retardant silicone foam developed for Indian Railways — the only company in India making it.

- 2023
Vande Bharat
Flame-retardant PU foam development and moulded seats for Vande Bharat.

In his own words
“I started with oil seals because that is what I understood and what India needed. There was a problem — good components only came from abroad — and the belief that we could solve it. We did. Then we found the next problem. That is still how this works.”

What unifies us
Design · Tooling · Process · Validation
- 01
Cross-functional
Engineering understanding spanning mechanical, electromechanical, material science, polymer engineering, electronics, comfort sciences, and fire and safety.
- 02
Validation mindset
Advanced in-house laboratories characterise materials and their functional behaviour. If we cannot test it, we do not claim it.
- 03
Process discipline
Documented parameters, repeatability and traceability across every production step. Quality is built in from the start, not checked at the end.
- 04
Tooling ownership
An in-house tool room means confidentiality, dimensional control and lifecycle stability. No sub-contracting of critical tooling.
