Durable Polymers · Part of the DP|TG Group

We make parts
that do not fail.

Foam that will not catch fire. Rubber that holds engines steady. Seats and berths for India’s fastest trains. We have made them in Lucknow since 1968, and we test every one in our own labs before it leaves the gate.

Scroll — how we build

How we build

Everything we make is built in layers.

This is one Vande Bharat sleeper berth, coming together.

01Steel frameHolds its shape for twenty years of passengers.

02Anti-vibration mountsThe rails shake. The berth doesn’t.

03Bonded polyester coreThe spring that never sags. Made on our own line.

04Flame-retardant PU foamComfort, certified not to burn.

05Silicone heat barrierWorks from −50°C to 250°C.

06UpholsteryEasy to clean. Hard to wear out.

The finished Vande Bharat sleeper berth. Not just the cushion — the whole berth. Steel frame, cushioning and upholstery, fabricated and assembled in Unit 2.

What we make

Five things, made to last.

Every one of them is tested in our own labs before it leaves the gate.

  1. 01

    Fire-safe foams

Foam that will not catch fire. Certified to EN 45545 HL3 — the standard Europe’s railways demand. Riding on Vande Bharat seats today.

  2. 02

    Silicone foam

No other company in India makes this. Heat shields, gaskets and battery-pack seals that work from −50°C to 250°C.

    Drag to turn it
  3. 03

    Rubber & bonded parts

Our first product, in 1968, was an oil seal. We still make them — plus the mounts, bushings and dampers that keep engines quiet.

We cut this seal open so you can see the spring inside — something no photograph can show you.

  4. 04

    Railway seats & berths

Complete seats and berths for Indian Railways, from steel frame to finished cushion, built in one factory. Comfort in every berth.

    Drag to turn it
  5. 05

    Composite insulators

They hold power lines up and never shatter like ceramic. One of only three companies in India that can make them.

Tested before it leaves

Proof, not promises.

Most factories send parts to an outside lab and wait. We built our own — fire, foam, electrical and polymer — so every component leaves with test data. Not a certificate. Data.

We set our own foam on fire, so a train never has to find out.

Testing is not a formality here. It is culture.

Inside Unit 1

India’s first automated thermal bonding line.

22,000 square feet where loose fibre goes in one end and finished cushion comes out the other — untouched by hand. Machines do not have bad days. That is why cushion number 10,000 matches cushion number one.

  1. Fibre hopper feeding the bonding line
    01

    Fibre in

    Raw polyester, by the tonne.

  2. Carding machine combing the fibre web
    02

    Carding

Combed into a fine, even web.

  3. Cross lapper layering the web
    03

    Layering

Web on web, until the thickness is right.

  4. Thermal bonding oven
    04

    The oven

Heat bonds it — no glue.

  5. Bonded cushion sheet leaving the line
    05

    Cushion out

One continuous sheet, up to 3.2 metres wide.

  6. Finished cushion stacks in the warehouse
    06

    Ready to ship

    Stacked, checked, gone.
